Today is... Friday? Really?!
So ive randomly jumped back onto the Harry Potter bandwagon. What spurred this randomnes I have no clue. One day I'm sitting at home listening to the fratelli's the next I'm dusting off my cd's of the Draco and the Malfoys. So what does my refound obsession mean? Basically it means that I'll probably try to re-read the books, as they are the only ones I can re-read. Also, I'll begin knitting out of my charmed knits book, (you know with patterns based on the books). It'll be interesting to see how long it lasts.
So tonight was Bear's birthday party. It was a joint party with her, Alex, and Brockli. After standing around forever, Nate started petitioning for us to play The Office Board Game. So Colleen and I got excited and Bear quickly claimed the two of us on her team as she seemed to think that we would know more than she would. In the end it ended up being girls versus boys. The game wasn't as complicated as we thought it would be, and soon Colleen and I were totally just racing to answer before the other. In case you were wondering the one question that stumped us was what Dwight's favorite movie is, it's the Crow. And the girls won! Wa-hoo... watching all of the episodes payed off in the end.
I also learned the Skittle game tonight. What it is, is you get a hand ful of skittles and you take them out two by two. If the colors dont match you put them in your and suck on them until you get two colors that do match. If they do match you get to eat all of your skittles in your mouth. I went through my whole handful of almost 40 skittles and didnt get a singe match. Needless to say it was definately a challenge to not choke as I chewed them.

My Candle Died
So pretty boring day today. Literature... Goverenment... Precalc... Photography... Track... Homework... Blogging...
See... averageness. However after this I get to do some baking because tomorrow is Bear's 18th birthday. And every birthday I make her some goodies, so I have to live up to my expectations, especially since this one of the last birthday's I'll be able to give them to her in person as I'm headed to RMC and she's going to BYU.
And on another note, my candle died today. Yep, I burned through the whole thing. Im quite sad about it because I dont know what to burn now to make my room smell nicely. However, my mom is quite happy as the smell of it bugged her, too clean she said. Psh, no such thing! So this means that I need to go candle shopping earlier than I thought.
So last night I had a nice conversation with Jim after I had posted my blog up for the night already. Basically we realized that we were better off as being Best Friends. Now normally this sort of thing would kill me. However, it didnt. I'm not saying that I don't care about him. It's just through our conversation I realized that I really had started to think of him more as a buddy then as a beau. Which is nice because we can talk about anything and anymore I really need people like that as with my move to college right around the corner, I'm starting to loose the friends I thought were closest to me. So, I'm no longer totally smitten with Jim, instead I've just gained a new confident and best friend... which to be honest, is much better because I can probably continue that friendship in Montana much better than anything else.
Ironically, I had a conversation with Pup on the same subject today. Being best friends I mean. Anyways, he had asked me if i was going to the band concert and when i told him no, even though I told Dallin I would try to, he was shocked to find out I talk to Dallin. Which really isnt all that surprising since I used to eat lunch with him last year but who noticed that? Well then he told me not to worry about missing the concert because Kourt would be there. Yay! His girl friend will be there in replacement of his "best friend". So I basically told him that it shouldnt matter if I'm going then because he would ignore me and he actually admitted that he would probably do so on accident, then had the nerve to ask me to go get ice cream. I kindly turned him down as I felt like he was asking only to ask and not really wanting to. So our conversation lamely ended when I wished him good luck. Oddly I still am considering him as one of my best friends.

The Moaning Myrtles
As of today... Mondays will be known as Music Mondays! I know original right? Now let me explain how I came to decide on having this segment. Today I was sitting in student aide listening to Wizard Rock (music based on the Harry Potter books) when I had an epiphany that I listen to a wide variety of music. I mean look at my playlist to the left. It's got a very interesting supply of music on there. Anyways, I sat there then wondering what I like about the bands I do, especially since I often get the famed comment "Why do you listen to that?!" You know what I'm talking about, the phrase that was supposed to be a question, but turns into a harsh dig. Which then led me to deciding that I would post about these random bands that I get the question about and why I like them each week along with my normal post.
The Moaning Myrtles
Now, I honestly have no clue why I'm starting with these two. It might be because it's what I have been listening the most for the past two days since I recently recovered my Wizard Rock files and fell in love with it all over again. Anyways...
This band is comprised of Lauren and Nina from New Jersey who were inspired to start a wizard rock band after seeing Harry and the Potters in concert. Surprisingly enough, Moaning Myrtle was auctually the first choice character for the band for both girls. They started perfoming in 2006 and have continued since. They have released two albums over the years, Toliet Humor and What About Myrtle. You can check them out on either myspace or on facebook. Both sites have a taste of their music. I suggest you listen to Transparent and You Can't Speak Snake which are on both, but on the myspace site also try Choko Ono. But keep in mind that this is based off the Harry Potter novels, so if you weren't quite a fan of them or havent even read them, then I wouldn't listen the music as you probably wouldnt enjoy it.
So the rest of my day was pretty basic. Except I cut my finger. I was organizing food for care packages for the troops and I picked up a cardboard box that had paper stapled onto it. As i lifted the box my thumb slid across the staple spicing it in the middle. So I was then a bloody mess and had to sit there calmly waiting for it to stop bleeding before I could touch anything. Which was slightly boring as Jim wasnt texting me this morning and the freshmen were sitting there doing their work. But once it stopped bleeding I got back to work and finished making the food look nice and neat and not crazily chaotic as it was before I attacked it. However the splice in my thumb did make it harder to text as I had to apply pressure to my thumb which tended to be painful. But since Jim wasnt that talkative to begin the day out it wasnt the end of the world.
Also minor note, I need a new candle. I have a pretty one from Salt Lake City Candle Company that smells like limes that I LOVE, however today I was looking at it and I realized i have done a pretty spiffy job of burning it down to almost nothing. So I have to now decide which scent I want, which will be pretty complicated considering how many different scents there are. So help me out pretty please... let me know which scent or scents I should consider.

Festival!
So today was District Orchestra Festival.
Festival:a day or time of religious or other celebration, marked by feasting, ceremonies, or other observances; a periodic commemoration, anniversary, or celebration; a period or program of festive activities, cultural events, or entertainment.
Seriously... none of these fit the event I spent most of my day at.
So I got out of class at 12:30 that way I could get dressed for festival. Which basically meant changing into a floor length black dress. Sliding on my heels that way I could get my dress and feet up off the floor of the bathroom, because who knows whats on there. Then attempting to redo my hair without and makeup with ten other girls all using the same mirror.
After this chaos we had our second rehersal of the day which was only supposed to last about 20 minutes but since our teacher was starting to become stressed, we had an hour rehersal, making it so that we left school a half an hour late.
The bus ride was probably the best part of the day as Brad kept me entertained with jokes and interesting Orchestra stories while Taylor slept away next to me.
Once we reached Ham Hall, we got to sit in the theater and watch groups in front of us. I sadly fell asleep until Jim texted me waking me up and keeping me up until we were called out front to get tuned and prepare for our turn on stage.
However, we were taken outside about a half an hour before we could be let into the green room for another rehearsal. So we stood outside tuning and chatting and attempting not to break anything as we stood there freezing. Then finally we were allowed into the green room where we had our final rehersal, did a last quick review of everything then were led out on stage.
Our performance went pretty well, slightly muddled yet still good. However, much to our disappoint we ended up with only one one and two twos.

So I Should Be...
I've noticed that I tend to procrastinate, or just not do what I was supposed to do in the first place. Constantly I find myself thinking : I'm doing _____ but I should be doing _____. Example: I'm blogging but I should be taking notes on taxing and spending. Or I should be reading instead of texting Jim. See what I mean, the things that make me smile or I have fun with normally push the things I should be doing to the back burner. Which is good in the idea of keeping me happy. But on the other hand... in keeping my grades up or my parents happy not so much. So how do I fix this problem? Haha, I've thought about it, and I'm perfectly happy with it the way it is. But wait didnt you just say how do you fix it? Yeah, but at the same time I have a great GPA, so obviously I'm getting my work done, and by talking to Jim I keep a smile on my face and am a happier person all the way around. So in other words Blog on!!!!
So today Britt wasnt at the run, so I ran with the boys this time. Which I must say was a brilliant move after my whole knee mess yesterday. I didn't really go into details about that because I was really upset over having it give out. So today I go out running with them, at a pace I'm totally not acustomed to as I normally run with girls or boys that aren't state champions. But I'm proud to say I kept up, however, I do think they might have been taking it easy on me. But anyways, about mile 4.5ish I began to feel a twinge in my knee and I stopped to massage it hoping that I wouldnt get a replay of yesterday. Luckily for me however, I made it back to the store with no problems at all.
I always say that Jim is a sweet guy, but honestly everytime he says something sweet it still shocks me. Like today he asked me how I was and I told him I was doing pretty good except for the slight pain in my knee, then asked how he was doing. He responded by saying he was doing pretty good except a little worried about my knee. Naturally I ask him why and he says because he doesnt want me to be hurt. Now this could be just because no one really wishes pain upon their friends, but still I find the littlest things he says caring and nice. Amazing how easy it is for me to be shocked at a guy being nice to me like this, shows how often I pay attention to guys liking me.

Voice Lessons Round 2
Today was pretty good. For one reason, I started writing again. I used to do it all the time but lately havent quite had the urge to. But today, I got completely lost during our math lesson, put pen to paper and just started writing again. But on the subject of writing...
A little while ago I mentioned Voice Lessons... well since then I've added a few more to my collection:
- Her fur makes he a comfortable blanket
as she rests at my feet
Knowing full well that man's best friend
will stay loyal to my side as I sleep
But come the morning,
She's under foot
causing stumbles and spills
-The chirping crickets were barely audible over the roar of the water falling over the cliff to the river below. The wind swayed the trees causing the leaves to rustle slightly and carry the scent of pine trees to the hikers.
-The rain water slowly washed away all of the pain she was feeling. Yet, as the pain went away so did the evidence.
- The opaque tube sliding from the nose matched the color of the hair matted to her head. Her wrinkles cut so deep, no one was quite sure what secrets could be held there.
-The bright red baton flashed in the sunlight as her muscles bulged to help her make to the rippling finish line tape first.
On a totally unrelated note yesterday we finally put my designs I've been working to use. How you may ask? Well... we put them on our sadies shirts. It was a fun day out with the girls. Once I get the photos I'll post them so you can see. But until then... you'll have to wait. (I should have them shortly. I didnt have my camera that day... shocking I know, so I'm getting them from somebody else.)
Today was pretty boring other than me picking back up my writing. And practice was totally killer, so I'm not going to re-live that and instead go to bed. Night All!

Snapped!
So today my senior class kinda snapped. We've been so stressed with AP deadlines and college stuff that it finally got to us. I mean... my Lit class was so bad that my teacher got fed up with us laughing and quoting random lines from movies and tv shows that she passed around her Dwight stress ball and put on the simpsons to give us a work day and allow us all to destress.
AP Gov we sat there discussing impeaching presidents, which didnt give us stress, however I never knew how comical it could be either. We all seemed to find it hilarious, which left our teacher slightly flustered.
Pre-calc was auctually interesting as my teacher had an extreme case of being unfocused. We covered everything from elimatining an equation to how to ask a girl out. I mean what does that have to do with Pre-Calc? Nothing! Thats right!!! Oh, how I love it...
Photo was pretty basic as we sat there listening to folk music editing photos. I love just sitting there staring into photoshop and listening to Nate on the banjo. It's the same kind of zen feeling I get when organizing shoes. The feeling that everything is perfect.
So I messed up today. I normally text Jim in the morning telling him Good Morning, and such. Well this morning I was so stressed I forgot to. Whoops! So I'm sitting in precalc and I start to get this feeling that I'm forgetting something. You know where you know you were supposed to do something but your not quite sure what. Then it hit me! So I dug out my phone and sent away a quick hi... and we started talking. However, after his practice he told me how he hadnt texted me this morning because he didnt think I wanted to talk to him. I was shocked. I hadnt ever thought of not wanting to talk to him... well except for that overly emotional text sent last week **hint: dont text while emotional!** So I quickly apologized and it was all better. Well just a little while ago we were talking on Facebook and he mentioned how he was reading my blog and how he was sorry for not acting that great. First off... even on those off days where our conversations were strained or we rarely talked at all. It was 10x better than Roy on a good day. Shows how well I picked that one. So now I feel bad for making him think that he hasnt been great. In fact, he's been awesome. He always is... and as he reminded me ever so nicely... no sarcasm there I swear, even Jim and Pam have their off days.

Pup & Moose Night Out!
So tonight I got to hang out with Pup. It's been awhile since this has occurred, mainly due to the fact that he had a girl friend who I think strongly disliked me. Any who... this guy is my best friend. He knows me better than anyone else, and is one of the few people who can see through my peppy facade and know that I'm hurting or contemplating really hard.
Little bit of background info... I meant Pup (he will from here on forth be referred to this) my sophomore and his freshman year of Cross Country, back when the team was small. After hanging out with him at every meet, I developed a bond with him, to the point where he became like a little brother to me. Last year, we drifted apart, however this year... we found each other again... thanks to me signing my letter of intent and him realizing that I'm leaving him eventually...
So we decided to go see a movie, and we ended up seeing He's Just Not That Into You.
Now, totally not a movie to see with a guy first off, I mean maybe a date movie, but not with the guy you think of as your little brother. The movie is about 9 different people and their love lives. And how they intertwine.
Gigi: Wants to find the perfect guy...
Alex: Knows everything about the dating world...
Beth: Has been dating the same guy for 7 years, still not married...
Neil: Doesn't believe in marriage....
Janine: Has trust issues...
Ben: Falling for his mistress...
Anna: In love with a married guy....
Conor: In love with a girl who just wants to be friends...
Mary: Can't seem to work out the digital age...
Now, I'm not a big chick flick fan, but for sure this one tops my list... both the chick flick list and Christmas list. It has a good plot, which is easy to follow. Funny dialogue/ intertwined with random anecdotes. Overall, however, it shows those of us who sit there pondering over whether or not he really likes us, that there is hope out there. That we might not be the relationship rule, we might be the exception.
However, hottness alert: Justin Long

Needless to say, I however have now started wondering if I have been sent signals throughout life and ignored them because I was so into a guy that I couldn't realize that he was just not that into me? I mean, could Jim really not be into me and be too nice to say so. Could I be the rule??? Or is it possible that Jim actually likes me? That I could be the exception???? If only, if only Jim read this blog, then he could say whether or not I am a rule or exception! Or any other guy out there...

Voice Lessons!
So every day in AP Lit/ Comp we do these things called voice lessons. We have to analyze text and then write our own little snippit. Since I had nothing else really to talk about tonight, I'm giving you a taste of my educational writing:
-The slobbery crumbs of the moldy cheese fell into her lap as she opened her mouth to guzzle the bitter wine.
-Music is the stitches of life, when the wound opens, it's always there to sew it back up.
-The little girl in the white dress hopped over the puddle. Her dress floated up and a small giggle escaped her mouth, yet she quickly landed with both of her shoes lighting up on the ground.
-The sun shimmered over the horizon initiating a start of the day.
-The boy shows two sides of himself: One only she sees, where he is compassionate and sweet, loving and caring; the other he shows to the rest of the world, he acts goofy with friends, and becomes a smart ass.*
-The bark on the mesquite tree was as rough as a turtle's skin.
-He seems to bring out the color brown where ever he goes. He can turn a simple couch into a lovely carmel color just by being near it with his tanned skin. The mahogany color of tree bark is brought out with his dark brown hair resting upon it. Yet no brown can match the melted chocolate color that is in the eyes that one can just stare into.*
*These were wrote pre-Jim and have to do with Roy! Grrr....
So this week, I've felt as if Jim and I were no longer in synch... which killed me because I really still like him. A lot! But tonight he proved me wrong, as he often does. Earlier this week, our texts seemed strained and conversation so-so. But tonight... no... it was like it usually was. He was mocking me... we were talking to "amazing" people. And then out of the blue he tells me I'm an amazing girl. Now I'm shocked he hasnt called me amazing in awhile. I mean... when i said out of synch I meant this has been an off week. Then he apologizes for not saying it as much this week. Its official... if I can't every auctually date Jim, I would love to have him as my best friend, hes too good to be anything other than that. I mean, he might even take Kyler's spot!
So nothing really awesome happened today. Just went to class, did some Sadies planning. I swear the lunch table is going crazy over this. We're all just that excited! Then I came home and chilled. Told ya pretty boring.

La La Land
So today is National Signing Day. Which meant that my school held this big deal, and had me resign my letter for photos and such. Well, they also brought in our high school coaches as kinda like "congrats to you for helping coach your athlete to such high standards." Which athlete is the only one whose coach doesnt show up? Mine...
Anyways.. minor upset in my day.
Today was rather uneventful... Britt didnt get to run tonight, so I ran with Devon and Nick who pushed the pace a tad more than I wished. But hey why should I complain. They are state xc runners after all.
Once I got home I started to feel horribly sick to my stomach, so I did my homework curled up in a ball on my couch to help dull the pain. After awhile though, the pain started to go away, however it was replaced with fatigue. So with that... I leave you. I know short uneventful post. Sorry.

Oh Blah Di Oh Blah Da
So... I've been kinda vacant for a while. So here's whats new:
Sunday:
I really dislike football. So I went to a big game party for about a half an hour then ducked out to go home and do "home work" which really just meant me chilling on the facebook for hours until The Office came on. Which was hysterical! (as always!)
Monday:
Okay... so last night I was really kinda sad due to Jim. I had learned some reasoning and it depressed me. Hence the not blogging. However, if I had blogged, I might not have totally sent a text message i didnt mean/ he didnt deserve. And all this after he made me smile all day! Wow... I'm a horrible person at times.
I had a photography assignment due today (as in tuesday) so I set up a makeshift studio in my room as so I could get these photos taken. However, this is not as easy as it sounds. Most of my photos had me half way out of the frame.
Today:
See... boring past two days... hence the not blogging. Of course, how the other blogs werent boring, that I'm not sure. Well... my hamstring pain finally went away so I was able to run 4 miles and then 6 200's and barely not keel over dying. I didnt think I was out of shape until today. However, I love Brooke she was there with me every step of the way and if she hadnt been well, I dont know how far I would have gone.
So Jim and I worked everything out and I think were back to normal... at least it seems so. Which is nice because I dont know what I would do if I couldnt text him. Well, maybe I do... and it would mean less yelling about how I need to be more responsible about texting, but oh well...

10:15 Saturday Night
So today= boredom. Except at work cause it was crazy busy there.
Today I spent my night at home baking. I was hoping to take advantage of my new moose cookie cutter, but no such thing. I was way too lazy to auctually make a cookie mix from scratch, so instead I used the bagged mix that came with it. First off I would like to say I followed the directions EXACTLY! The dough wasnt really even a dough, more of a chunky powder that I had to squish together into a ball. Then when I auctually tasted it, it was HORRIBLE! So I quickly threw the dough away and vowed to be less lazy in the future and auctually make my own dough.
So instead I stole the recipie out of Runners World for Red Velvet Cupcakes. Now the photo they have is much nicer as they auctually took time with the frosting... I however did not. But here's how mine turned out:
Then after these fine masterpieces were done I was going to make my lovely Moose Pies. However, by the time this was over and done with it was already 9 o'clock. So when I started the Moose Pies I totally neglected to read that it had to chill for 2-3 hrs. My own creation and I forgot what to do. I felt horribibible! So instead I made the dough... which turned out much better than the first set of cookies did and threw it it in the fridge till the morning.
Oh and by the way, it is 10:15 and Saturday Night, but not the reason for the post's title... still following the song title theme here.

Friday On My Mind
So... remember that sweet pain I was talking about yesterday... yeah more like an inconvenient stretch... which basically means no running today. Yeah, bad stuff.
I FINALLY finished Breaking Dawn today. I know, "what took you so long?" Well heres what happened: I disliked it so much that I literally threw it out the window in August. However after it sitting in the flowers outside, I felt bad (partly because "I was crushing the flowers" as my mom said) I went outside and retrieved it. Then I placed it on my bookshelf and let it gather dust until this week when after listening to my Pre-calc go on and on about Bella and Edward. So I pulled it out dusted it off and gave it the benefit of the doubt. Now, I am not horribly mad at how the series ended, but seriously? That was not Stephenie Meyer who wrote Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse. This was a women just writing to make her fans happy and be a bestseller. But now that I have finished it, it can get off my bookshelf and be hidden from sight. This way I wont be reminded of how many painful hours I spent reading the book.
So tonight I went to Tropical Smoothie with Britt and Chanel. I have this thing about smoothies that once I crave it, I NEED one until I fufill my craving. So tonight I was craving a raspberry banana one, lucky me, they have one that fits the bill.
Afterwards, we headed back up to Metro, where I sat and watched as soccer was played on the roller hockey court, because as I stated at top I cant run. After game point, we left and went to Scotts house to attempt to play a board game, but I missed the introduction due to making a side detour. But it was still funny to watch!

Sweet Thursday
Sweet pain... thats what I mean there. My hamstrings are so tight and sore I could barely walk today. But no matter... I could still run.
Yesterday at the first day back to track Coach had us do 40 lunges which led to massive soreness throughout us all. However, I pushed the pain back and did 3 miles with the boys. Which was amazing fun as we started singing on the way back to school. Don't Stop Believing by Journey to be exact. We're running down this quiet street when all of a sudden I hear Confer start screaming "Just a small town girl living in a looooonely world!" Very out of key I might add. Then Conner joined in and then I started up. So were running down this street screaming Journey and all I can do is think about how awesome these guys are and how much I'm going to miss them. Finally about the time we reach the corner we had ran out of breath so the singing had died, but still. I have this theory that runners love singing crazy stuff just to prove how crazy we are.
Once we got back we just sat there and talked about random stuff while stretching and listening to music as I had started my truck just to give us something to listen to. Which then caused me to ALMOST... not fully... fall out of my seat and onto the hard pavement below. I had been talking to a new kid on the team, when Taylor calls my name. I look at her and lean slightly out of my truck just so I can hear her and suddenly I felt myself falling forwards so I grabbed hold of the wheel to support myself, while the rest of my team starts laughing... Yep, my klutz moment of the day right there.
However, speaking of trucks, I would really love to complain about my fuel light. So my truck's gas gauge doesnt work perfectly so instead I normally wait until about 200-250 miles then fill up again. Well due to my hectic week I've totally exceeded that, and instead was cruising up to about 300 before my fuel light came on. Well, this is where I get annoyed. It doesnt just come on and stay on. NOOOO... it comes on and then if I turn a corner or stop it goes off. At other times it does this weird thing where it goes from darker to lighter and back again. Other times it acts as its supposed to by staying on for periods of time. After long enough of being annoyed of this I finally get gas, but I would love for my truck to not have to annoy me into getting gas.

Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M
Yes I am aware... It's not Wednesday Morning, and defiantly not 3 AM. But I've got this song title thing going on this week so roll with it!
So this week in English we're started reading the play Raisin in the Sun. It's about an African American family moving into an all white neighborhood. Well I had my ditz moment of the day while reading it out loud. In the text it read "honest. Gee" WELL... instead of reading it with the period I read "Honest Gee." Which to most sounded like "Honest G" so the whole class was laughing at me. Sorry some random comic relief there.
Tonight on the Wednesday run, Britt and I took a random turn and headed up a street that I don't remember the name of, however looked oddly familiar. On it were two elementary schools right across the street from eachother, which caused to have a conversation about how odd it is that they used to have sister schools like that. Then I remembered how in Kindergarten I went to Eisenburg, which was right next door to Kahre. Thats when it hit me. We were running past Eisenburg and Kahre! I slowed down and walked to the front of the school to be sure and confirmed it right away. I slowly walked around to the Kindergarten playground and looked around. It was ironic at how nothing had really changed in 12 years since I was there. I climbed up and stood there and suddenly it hit me. Tears were falling down my face. I am going to GRADUATE this year. I couldnt even imagine doing that back then. Then I thought about how in a few years I'll probably stand out front of Arbor going "Wow! It hasnt changed a bit!"

Tuesday's Gone
It's funny how one little change in your daily routine can spice up your life so much. For example heres how my day went...all because of one little change.
I woke up this morning at 5:30 instead of 5:00, causing me to rush to get ready. And once I was, it was too late for me to get gas for my truck before picking up Taylor to make it to school on time. So I dash out of the house and get Taylor, however about half way to school my fuel light comes on so we quickly pull into the gas station, where I ran in and got a bag of twizlers and $5 of gas, and then we were pulling into the parking lot. Now, when I started to driving to school, I parked everyday in the same spot. That same spot I have parked in for the last 3 years now, unless there was a late night track meet, and then I parked near the coaches. So you can probably understand both my amazement/frustration that I have when I see someone has parked in my spot. After all... I do see it as being mine after 3 years of parking there. So instead I park next to my spot and cringe as I see someone else... wait no... my best friend's truck... parked there.
I get out of my truck ranting about my spot, and trip over the curb. Not once, not twice, but more like 5 times. Then I remember, I parked here once before. And I had tripped then too! No wonder I park away from curbs.
However, after that the day went smoothly until I got home. Once I home I proceeded to rip my favorite jeans. My door handles to my rooms are these pretty swirly things that are just perfect for catching belt loops if one gets to close. Well, I did, and now my favorite pair of jeans lay in my moms office waiting to be stitched back up. I had kept walking with so much force that I ripped them! I sat in shock before changing into a pair of running pants that had no way to get caught on door handles.

Monday, Monday
So this morning I show up at school and can barely keep my eyes open. I ended up chalking the reasoning to the lack of sleep I got this weekend and the fact that it was Monday. Luckily for me, classes were pretty basic today so my constant coming in and out of consciousness wasn't a horribly big deal.
After school I was supposed to go run for the first time since cross country with the track team, however got called into work and had to postpone my workout (more on that later).
So I'm sitting in Photography during seventh period, and my boss calls. I quickly hit ignore, hoping that it wasnt drastically important. No more than two seconds later I get a text asking me to come in. I quickly decided that my run could wait and I would go into work as soon as I get out of school, which would be an hour later.
So I show up at work to be greeted with mass amounts of boxes. And not just any boxes... shoe boxes. We got in two large shipments. So I begin putting stacks of shoes everywhere all the while thinking of where to put stuff to make room for all these new shoes. Then the best thing happened... I was gifted with HOT CHOCOLATE!!! Now for those who don't know, I refuse energy drinks because of how unhealthy they are for you, however, hot chocolate seems to act the same as an energy drink for me. So here I am, surrounded by shoes, and drinking a hot chocolate and I realize... I can auctually get this done. So, I finish the hot chocolate and go to work and just as I finish getting most of the mens shoes up and away, I get another hot chocolate. So with the extra energy from this one, I get all of the womens shoes done, and then head home. Also, while at work today I got this awesome Adidas poster. It says "Because I'm loving every wonderful, horrible minute of this!"
Once home, I realized that I still had to do a workout. So I ask my dad if he'd accompany me by riding his bike, his response: Go lift weights its too cold out. So I head out into the garage and start lifting weights. About half-way through my first set I have an epiphany: I'm moving to Montana. It's REALLY cold there. Maybe I should get used to this cold thing. So I end up running laps around my block inbetween reps also. Two things I did notice on my run though... People I realize that you cant water at certain times of the day, but does that mean you need to water at 7 at night? I mean if the water is making my legs cold then wont it make the grass cold? And we're in a drought, so water your grass, not the runners. Second, If you have a ladder attatched to your car, park in your driveway so that its not hovering over the sidewalk or just take it off completely. Now why did I notice these two things? Well... as I was wiping the water that was sprayed onto my face by the sprinklers off, I ran into the ladder that was hanging off the truck and into the sidewalk. Klutz moment #?

Partying it up...
Last night was Jason's 18th birthday party, so I spent the night chilling with Centennial runners again. (Totally not meaning that in a bad way!)
So we get there and head out to play ultimate frisbee. Now, this is a sport that every cross country runner should know how to play. When I started cross country three years ago, I knew how to play, and did so often. However, over the past couple of years, my team has ceased playing leaving all of us deprived of the ultimate experience. Naturally I'm concerned. Mainly, because its been awhile since I've played so I'm slightly rusty. However, I never really had any problems as the frisbee stayed away from me all night, I blame the wind.
After a little while, we switched things up to play freeze tag. I love playing tag. Mainly because its the one time that when sprinting I don't feel horribly lame because you've got a goal in mind and it's all fun in the end. So were playing tag and everything is going good up until the part where Nick gets hit. I wasnt there so I dont know what happened really, all I do know is that he was hit in the nose and hard enough for tag to no longer be fun. Instead we headed back to Jason's house.
There we sat around the fire and I listened as the boys told stories about their season and I learned way more about their team then I ever thought I would. But not in a bad way. I mean I dont think you could find a closer knit group of people. I also felt included when I was given a nickname. Everyone on the XC team has one. Mine is Cup-O'-Dirt. I myself am still not certain on the logic on how it got to that. The only bits of the thought process I picked up were: Moose--Moosen-- Boxen-- Brian Regan-- Cup-O'-Dirt. So yeah... the randomness continues!

Unproductive Day... Out of the House
So this morning I woke up and decided that I would spend my day looking for scholarships and doing homework since tomorrow and Sunday I would be too busy to do so. However, that did not end up being the case until about 6:00 tonight.
When I woke up, I got a phone call from my mom and dad telling me that they were on their way to pick me up and we were going to spend the day together. So they pick me up and we go to some important places for them, including China Town where I sat in the car instead. Then we went to REI at both ends of town looking for cold weather clothes because of my moving to montana next year. From there we went to Albertsons where I found the cutest Valentine's day monster that sings I'm a Love Machine. So I convinced mom to buy three greeting cards so that we could take the little guy home.
Once home I was finally able to start on my homework and scholarship search. However after an hour of it, boredom got the better of me, so I got dressed for bed. Instead of wearing normal pajamas, I grabbed my Footlocker Cross Country Region Championships shirt, my Saville M.S. P.E. shorts, my red and gray leg warmers, and white slipper socks. Once adaquetly dressed in craziness I was able to complete my homework
